Before his untimely passing, Lil Peep spent time recording with Atlanta's iLoveMakonnen for a planned collaborative project, as tracks that emerged last year can attest. Now, Makonnen shares one of these songs that also happens to feature Fall Out Boy. You can stream "I've Been Waiting" below.

“My relationship with Lil Peep was one of a kind,” shared iLoveMakonnen. “We were two like-minded artists collaborating to make a new style of music that the world has not heard before. It was a pleasure to work with him and his loss has been devastating.”

“I hope that the music helps bring closure and happiness. All the songs that Peep and I have worked on are special to me," he adds. "I knew adding his heroes Fall Out Boy to ‘I've Been Waiting,' would be a tribute to my friend and collaborator that I could feel proud of. When I called Pete he immediately said yes, and it came together very quickly. I’m really excited to share this with the fans."

"I've Been Waiting" comes shortly after the release of the video for "16 Lines," a track from Lil Peep's posthumous 2018 album Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2. Makonnen, meanwhile, recently shared a new track with Gucci Mane, "Spendin," which you can revisit below.
