In a new interview with VarietyLil Wayne revealed that the sixth Tha Carter album is on the way. Well, kind of. When asked which project in the franchise is his favorite, he responded, “My favorite Carter album is the next one.”

There's no word in regards to release date or who might appear on Tha Carter VI. However, in a Young Money Radio episode last month, Wayne spoke to Nicki Minaj about the prospect of a joint album. "We doing our joint album," he teased, "a lot of the fans been asking about it. When we gon' do this?" She then replied, "You already know, your wish is my command." Watch a snippet below.

His critically acclaimed Tha Carter V debuted at #1 on the Billboard 2000 when it arrived in 2018, bolstered by features from Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Ashanti, Mack Maine, Travis Scott, and more.
