“Vision Becomes Truth” is inscribed on every pair of LURA eyewear, and for good reason. Focusing on the belief that life’s complexities are deeper than what you can simply see with your eyes, LURA is committed to idea that what we imagine in our minds will ultimately shape our realities. That’s likely why it's tapped visionary photographer FrankHaveMercy to photograph its designer frames—adding his unique flair to Los Angeles-based brand's wares.

Since 2014, LURA has been fusing its abstract designs to classic eyewear silhouettes, often using metal details to create eyewear that’s closer to conceptual art than a basic pair of shades. Designed in Los Angeles but handcrafted in Japan, each style— from the square-framed Heaton and the all-new circular Miller Highbrow—is the embodiment of LURA’s artistic philosophies.

In particular, the recently introduced Miller Highbrow continues this trend. Boasting slightly reflective smoke gray Carl Zeiss Lenses, supported by black Japanese acetate and stainless steel five-barrel for a sturdy construction, the Miller Highbrow is yet another example of LURA taking accessible design and adding a modern-day touch.

With three different metal accent variations—black, silver and gold—there’s plenty of options no matter what your style.

If you’re interested in grabbing your own pair of eyewear contemporary art, the Miller Highbrow is available at select stockists around the world, and LURA’s online shop.
