In honor (or perhaps in mockery) of this year’s Met Gala, singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco has shared two playful new songs, aptly titled “Met Gala - Red Carpet 7 inch.”

Shared to DeMarco’s YouTube channel, the video’s description jokes that the songs were “recorded earlier today on the red carpet at the Met Gala.” That being said, those looking for DeMarco’s signature blissed-out crooning might be in for a surprise.

On first listen, “She’s My Sweet” sounds like a dope YouTube anime channel or SoundCloud find. In short, the song fuses the sounds of Toro y Moi and Homeshake, albeit paired with the lyrics of a corny yet loveable R&B song.

“Fuck the Toronto Raptors,” on the other hand, leads with a groovy bassline and an ’80s synth voice repeating the song’s title. (The Raptors were recently knocked out by the Cleveland Cavaliers during the Eastern Conference semi-finals).

Both tracks feature appearances from Homeshake and DIIV members Peter Sagar and Colin Caulfield, as well Mozart’s Sister’s Caila Thompson.
