Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set around the time of the infamous Charles Manson murders, as Sharon Tate was a burgeoning model/actress, killed by the Manson family in 1969. DiCaprio and Pitt, who play opposite Robbie, portray a television actor (Rick Dalton) and his stuntman, respectively, as they are also neighbors of Sharon Tate. The aforementioned murder took place at Tate's home, also involving the execution of three friends and an 18-year-old visitor.

“As long as I can remember, I’ve been a huge Tarantino fan,” Robbie revealed to IndieWire when speaking on the role back in May. “I feel a responsibility with every character I play, whether they’re fictional or real life.To play her right, play her truthfully, and kind of understand her emotional journey.”

Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is due in theaters August 9, 2019, the 50th anniversary of the Manson murders. For more on the movie, follow here.
