Electrification is the theme dominating this year's Geneva Motor Show and Mercedes-Benz has come through with its first-ever all-electric race car, the EQ Silver Arrow 01. And if that doesn't sound cool enough, the Formula-E racer has some pretty strong Batmobile vibes.

Like with Mercedes-Benz's ultra-futuristic Vision EQ Silver Arrow concept, the EQ Silver Arrow 01 name is an homage to the German carmaker's historic 1937 W125 Silver Arrow.

The electric racer can generate up to 340 horsepower and sprint from 0 to 60mph in 2.7 seconds, with a weight of nearly 2,000 pounds. The chassis was built by Spark Racing Technology and Dallara. Atieva built the 52-kilowatt-hour battery pack using Sony cells and it was integrated by McLaren.

After its unveiling in Geneva, the EQ Silver Arrow 01 will race in Formula E later this year, competing against racers from Audi, BMW, Nissan, and Jaguar. Sadly for Batman fans, Mercedes-Benz has said the car's look is just “teaser livery,” so expect a different, less Gotham City look during Formula E's sixth season.
