Editor's Notes: The battle of the foam sandals is as intense as ever. In one corner you have Crocs Clogs, with its customizable Jibbitz and Balenciaga collaborations, in another corner, there's the adidas YEEZY Foam RNNR that brings with it all the hype that Ye brings, and in the final corner, you have Merrell and its Hydro Moc.

If we're being completely honest, there are more similarities than differences between the three models, but each one comes with its own set of specialties. With Merrell, its pièce de résistance is its superior performance in the great outdoors.

When the American footwear label launched in 1981, it found its success through high-performance hiking boots, and these slip-on shoes are made with the same adventurers in mind. The rubber water shoes are crafted from BLOOM EVA performance foam that is both lightweight and highly durable.

FloatEco Foam and a rubber rear heel sling add the final functional touches to the model, included for beach dwellers, water sports enthusiasts, and explorers traversing lakes.

However, the shoe's fan base goes beyond outdoorsy folks looking to wade through water, and those using the model's futuristic look to add an edge to their outfits will be keen to see its newest colorways.

The latest drop of Merrel Hydro Moc models to hit the Highsnobiety Shop arrive as part of its Spring/Summer collection and features four colorways. With a marbled pattern that covers the upper, the colorway that stands out the most from the selection is titled "Pomelo", with a bright yellow body contrasted by splotches of white.

Meanwhile, the other three options use more neutral hues that lend the limelight to the shoe's patterned and hole-filled upper.

Arriving at the peak of summer, when we need them most, the new colorways hit shop shelves alongside a pair of matching black sliders and the Catalyst Pro Earth, a suede climbing shoe with a focus on recycled materials.
