New Balance has designed another trail-coded 1906 sneaker.

It's not as rugged as the recent GORE-TEX versions of the model, but the 1906F is outdoorsy enough to pass the vibe check.

Specifically, the New Balance 1906F sneaker features the classic adjustable shoelace system, as seen on traditional trail styles and hiking models. Ultimately, it gives the 1906 its own "outdoor shoe" kind of vibe.

And the bold "Blue Bird" color scheme only further leans into the trail aesthetic. It not only borrows its name from an actual animal of the great outdoors, but also the typical bright color schemes commonly seen on outdoor models.

New Balance has already turned the 1906 into one of the decade's most divisive dress shoes. The Boston brand might as well make it into a legit trail sneaker next, especially with the model's impressive trail-minded makeovers.
