What the Internet Is Saying: Safe to say most sneakerheads are extremely excited for this release, thanks to the model’s easy wearability and the classic black/grey and white/grey colorways.

What We’re Saying: New Balance’s surprise-hit retro basketball sneaker, the 550, is set to be released in two classic colorways on February 1. As New Balance Hoops reveals on Instagram, the two colorways — which bear striking similarities to the Nike Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” and “Neutral Grey” — take direct inspiration from the original 1989 release.

This drop is also the first time that the black and red “Bred” version will be available in the United States, after being available in parts of Europe already. The list of countries getting the two new colorways is as follows: Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, China, Russia, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, the UK, Brazil, Canada, and the US.

The New Balance 550 will be available for $110 directly at New Balance.
