Editor’s Notes: Nike has finally officially confirmed the release of the Nike Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 featuring a black and red colorway that flips the OG “Banned” color blocking. This particular version is reported to be as close to an exact replica of the original 1985 models, pertaining to shape and construction, as there has been.

Only 23,000 pairs will be released and each comes with retro packaging — including a drawstring bag and an OG hang tag depicting Michael Jordan above the Chicago skyline.

According to Rick Maverick, footwear graphic designer at Jordan, creating the OG hang tag wasn't a simple task. "There were no digital files to recreate the original hangtag. We had to get old school and get the original photo from the archives," he revealed.
