Brand: Nike

Model: Air Jordan 6 “Hare”

Key Features: The original “Hare” Jordan was actually the Nike Air Jordan 7, though the famous colorway is now being applied to the Air Jordan 6. The AJ7 was introduced via a commercial that starred both Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny. Jordan’s agent, David Falk, pushed for the commercial to be expanded and a young generation of basketball was presented with one of the most famous basketball movies of all time.

Release Date: June 17

Price: $190

Buy: Nike and select retailers (see list below)

Editor’s Notes: After leaked product shots of the Nike Air Jordan 6 “Hare” made their way online earlier this year, Nike has shared official imagery (above). The sneaker already dropped in China on May 15 and was supposed to arrive in the US on June 5, though that release date has now been pushed back twice. The latest release date is June 17. Retail is set at $190.

The original Air Jordan 7 “Hare” was the precursor to the original Space Jam movie, which is also getting a reboot, albeit with LeBron James in the starring role. That movie is not scheduled to premiere until July 2021, but it seems Jordan Brand couldn’t wait to drop the “Hare” Jordan 6, so we’re getting it over a year early.
