Nike Garnishes Its Minimalistic Air Max With A Portion of Sweet Beet
As Sergio Lozano’s iconic Air Max 95 continues its 30th-anniversary victory lap, Nike shows no signs of slowing down its rollout of true-to-spec Big Bubble retros. Scheduled to land in Fall 2026, the Nike Air Force Max 95 Big Bubble Photon Dust/Sweet Beet blends archival anatomy with a striking, berry-infused palette.
Originally designed with larger, four-window visible Air units in 1995 that were later downsized for mass production due to durability concerns, the re-engineered Big Bubble specs recreate the bold, oversized cushioning units exactly as Lozano initially envisioned.
Dressed in a sophisticated neutral two-tone palette with vibrant pops, the Sweet Beet iteration offers a refreshing alternative to the traditional neon setup.
The upper features the signature side panels, which, instead of following the go-to gradient fade, instead looks to a block-color finish in black and white. Striking Sweet Beet accents inject contrast to the tongue branding, mini Swoosh at the lateral heel, and outsole.
The shoe sits atop a clean black midsole with the enlarged, true-to-OG Big Bubble Air Max units in the forefoot and heel, tinted in Sweet Beet red-purple hues.
This pair exemplifies the power of simplicity. There are so many bold, busy colorways out there that a simple two-tone upper with a flash of fresh color ends up being the true standout.
