According to TMZ, the memorial created in honor of Nipsey Hussle will be shut down at the request of his family due to opportunistic vendors taking advantage of the site. Not only have people been selling visitors bootleg T-shirts, flyers, and tours of the premises, but some have even gone so far as to set up food trucks near the tribute. In response to the chaos, his family has decided to discontinue operating the monument in order to combat the various forms of monetization that have transpired on the grounds.

The temporary memorial is currently set up in the parking lot of the late rapper's store, Marathon Clothing in Los Angeles. TMZ previously reported that his family is committed to keeping his legacy alive by completing the community foundation that he was working on prior to his death. Last month, the Los Angeles City Council announced that it would rename an intersection in South LA in Nipsey Hussle's memory.

A close date has not been confirmed, but stay tuned here for more updates about the status of the memorial. Representatives for Nipsey Hussle were not immediately available for comment before this article was published.
