After serving up flex-ready shoes in 2023, OTTO 958, the collaborative fashion line between Kiko Kostadinov and art gallery Morán Morán, is back with another ASICS sneaker.

Like its previous ASICS team-up, the latest OTTO 958 x ASICS sneaker comes dressed in black and green shades, speaking to OTTO 958's signature hue (green is the OTTO 958 way, according to its clothes and its boxy "O" logo).

OTTO 958's new ASICS sneaker looks Protoblast-y in appearance, borrowing some details from the sports-meets-lifestyle sneaker curated by none other than Kostadinov's design studio.

OTTO 958's collaboration carries a similar bulky sole to the ASICS Protoblast, more than likely infused with ASICS' FF Blast cushioning for a comfortable step. The joint sneaker also totes a familiar meshy foundation but is topped with crisp leather overlays versus the usual shiny patent-like textures.

As far marking territory, an OTTO 958 badge tops the sneaker's airy toe box. What's also interesting are the box-shaped cutouts near the laces — they also sort of remind me of the OTTO 958 "O" logo. And last but certainly not least, the brand signs off on its work with an embroidered branding moment on the buttery leather paneling.

There's more ASICS and Kostadinov goodness to come this year. In addition to the OTTO 958 collab, the two also teased more GEL-Kayano 20 sneakers. Following a buzzy team-up with KENZO earlier this year, the GEL-Kayano 20 sneakers appeared in a lineup in several solid colorways, which are expected to drop sometime later in 2024.

It's safe to assume that we can also expect OTTO 958's new ASICS sneaker during the latter half of 2024. If we're lucky, maybe we'll receive the green pairs sooner rather than later.

ASICS may have already dropped off loads of heat, but the Japanese sneaker brand isn't finished yet (not if Kostadinov has anything to do with it).
