Sony held its anticipated PlayStation 5 event today, and as expected, Twitter came quick with the comments during the hour-plus livestream. After showcasing a slew of gameplay, the company officially unveiled the console, although the retail price and release date were not announced.

The event began with a walk down memory lane, touching on the history of PlayStation. Then, it was all about the games, as we saw samples of everything from Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Gran Turismo 7, to Hitman 3, NBA 2K21, Deathloop, Resident Evil Village, and Horizon Forbidden West. The company also revealed that GTA V will be available for free at the launch, leaving everyone wondering when the hell GTA 6 will arrive.

The PlayStation 5 will be available in two versions, a disc-based system and a digital edition. The console, which is powered by an eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and a custom AMD RDNA 2-based GPU, boasts a predominantly white design with black accents. Load times receive a boost thanks to an SSD providing 825GB of storage and 5.5GB/s of performance, while the PS5 will also support 8K graphics, 4K graphics at a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3D audio.

Sony has created a number of accessories for the PS5, including a DualSense charging station, new HD camera, Pulse 3D wireless headset, and a media remote. You can take a look below.
