Pokken Tournament, an arcade fighting game that adopts Tekken-like maneuvers, has generated a substantial following in Japan for its engaging gameplay and charismatic character loadouts. Today, at the Pokémon World Championships in Boston, The Pokemon Company - an affiliate of Nintendo - announced that the game would no longer be a Japanese exclusive. Developed by Tekken publisher Bandai Namco, the game will be "more lifelike than ever before, with amazing graphics and smooth, fluid movements," the company said.

Pokken Tournament is set to arrive in worldwide markets on the Nintendo Wii U beginning Spring 2016.
