Editor’s Note: Partly thanks to Skepta sporting the sneaker at PFW, PUMA’s three-part hybrid Velophasis series has been in hot demand since its release. Starting with the Bionic, and now having just dropped the Phased, the Y2K running-inspired silhouette pulls from past PUMA archives, keeping performance at its core.

The colorway of the Phased will no doubt catch the eye. Electric blue and neon orange? It’s like the Vaporwave movement meets the Internet culture of the 2000s in a bright explosion that contrasts the pretty toned-down design. If this colorway isn't the one for you, the Phased comes in two others that might tickle your fancy more.

From the honeycombed mesh and asymmetric upper to the textured panels and swooping outlined details, the Phased pays homage to PUMA’s COMPLETE line from the noughties — and although the shoe has 2000s written all over it, it is definitely one to add to your 2023 rotation.
