Editor’s Notes: Gold has long been regarded as a symbol of wealth in Chinese culture, which is why Reebok’s 2019 "Chinese New Year" footwear pack features hits of the color throughout. With this gold-tinged design, Reebok hopes the year of the pig will be a fat one and will present a “golden journey” to sneakerheads.

The highlight of the pack is the Instapump Fury model featured above. Reebok’s Club C, Classic Leather, Sole Fury, Supreme Pump, and Daytona silhouettes are also included in the drop.

One of the brand’s most popular sneakers and the subject of some high-profile collaborations (most notably with Vetements), the Instapump Fury fits into the retro ’90s runner trend that shows no sign of letting up. This gold and white makeover is just the right amount of gaudy, likely to turn heads but not overdoing it to the point of becoming unwearable.
