Some brands just lend themselves to collaboration. Reigning Champ’s pedigree when it comes to high-end staples is undebatable, and it’s that affinity for the basics done well which makes it such a formidable partner in collaboration. The brand’s latest partnership comes alongside Jide Osifeso and it challenges archetypes of the modern uniform.
The Reigning Champ x Jide Osifeso collection consists of just 11 pieces that reimagine traditional athletic and military silhouettes through unconventional tailoring, fabric treatment, and seasonal graphics. “We stayed home and relied on staples from RC’s fleece and jersey heritage,” notes Osifeso, who leaned into Reigning Champ’s existing framework of premium sportswear.
One thing’s for sure, though, the Reigning Champ x Jide Osifeso capsule doesn’t look like sportswear anymore. Using Osifeso’s signature unorthodox cuts and paneled constructions, the collection stands out as one of Reigning Champ’s more conceptual in recent memory.
One of the major highlights of the collection is the Ripstop Field Jacket which is cut from recycled fabric and features contrasting arms against a military-inspired khaki torso. Elsewhere, the custom tie-dyed fleece tracksuit is a standout for the cold weather incoming.
