Dickies
1 / 4

"Even the hardest working pair of workwear pants needs to take a break every now and then," is what Journal Standard must've thought when entering into this collaboration with Dickies Japan. Or so it appears, at least, by the looks of these flowy, pastel-hued resort slacks the two parties recently co-conceived.

Trading the American classic's sturdy, waxy cotton blend for summer-colored pleats, the Japanese retailer really broadened the horizon of what typically comes to mind when hearing the name Dickies.

While remaining loyal to their wider-leg shape, these newly beachy Dickies pants appear soft and airy, and show little interest in being worn to construction sites.

Ranging from azure blues to light greens and neutrals, these Journal Standard-style Dickies really went all-in on off-duty vibes. In fact, these babies ain't goin' nowhere near a toolbox, and if they could talk they'd say they'd never even heard of cargos.

The linen-made "Resort State Pants 874" are priced at around $110 each, and so elegantly relaxed-fitting it's hard to fathom a version of them ever had to do with anything beyond fancy coastal holidays.

This, as Dickes and Journal Standard must've agreed, is workwear for doing absolutely nothing, but looking hella good at it no less.

At max maybe, this is workation-wear.
