RUF x Highsnobiety Is A Mechanics Uniform Done Our Way

RUF isn't your typical car manufacturer, and that's not only because its cars are skinned in the familiar body of famous Porsche models.
The company has an unwavering dedication to power which led to its first production car, the 1987 RUF CTR, breaking the speed record for a production car twice. Placing the company firmly on the map, that achievement set the tone for its next 35 years in car production.
To celebrate its dedication to craftsmanship and raw speed, we have created a collaboration with the family company that dives into its legacy from starting as a small car garage to becoming a truly unique manufacturer.
Across the 26-piece collection, you'll find graphic streetwear staples such as hoodies and baseball caps, our own take on the work trousers and dungarees worn by RUF mechanics, and, of course, an ode to its famous CTR.
Nicknamed the Yellowbird thanks to its distinctive paint job, keen gamers will recognize it as being the hardest car to get in Gran Turismo and car lovers from the viral drift-filled video Faszination on the Nurburgring. "That car paved the way to where RUF is now,” Aloisa Ruf, the third generation of the family to work for the business, told us in a recent interview.
You can find its yellow body, based on a G-Series Porsche 911 Carrera, embroidered on knitted sweaters and a varsity jacket, printed on graphic hoodies and t-shirts, and dangling from our collaborative keyring.
There is also a hoodie to celebrate the unveiling of its predecessor: the RUF CTR Anniversary. Taking the spirit of the original and combining it with modern mechanics, it is a lightweight and blisteringly fast car in the disguise of a vintage Porsche.
To compliment the clothing, we enlisted two watch experts who share RUF's devotion to using the finest craftsmanship. The TAG Heuer Carrera x Bamford x RUF x Highsnobiety watch is an exclusive timepiece that rounds off the collection, with the 42MM automatic chronograph housing a Calibre Heuer 02 movement.
It features the car company's signature yellow and green colors, two custom straps, and comes presented in a box made from green frosted transparent acrylic.
