Salomon’s Hiking Runner Has More Tricks Than Its Name Suggests
There’s a particular kind of Salomon that feels like it was designed for a mountain but somehow ended up looking even better on the pavement. The Ultra Glide 4 falls firmly into that camp.
It’s a proper trail runner, sure, but there’s enough going on visually to make it an easy candidate for everyday rotation, too.
The latest version keeps that slightly space-age Salomon thing going, with a generous sole and layered upper that looks like it could handle considerably more than your average trip to the coffee shop. In this muted green colorway, it feels particularly good, with just enough pops to keep all that technical-looking business from becoming too serious.
