Shia LaBeouf has morphed into his own father in preparation for his next movie, Honey Boy — to amazing effect. The results have rendered the actor almost unrecognizable, making us even more hyped for the film's release.

With Lady Bird’s Lucas Hedges playing Otis Lort, based on young Shia, LaBeouf himself will portray James Lort, based on LeBeouf Sr., in a family drama loosely based on LaBeouf's life. The movie's title is taken from the star’s childhood nickname and the plot is said to follow the child star as he attempts to improve his relationship with his alcoholic, law-breaking father.

It’s expected that Honey Boy will follow young “LaBeouf” as he becomes a worldwide star thanks to roles in Disney TV show Even Stevens and the Transformers movie franchise. Per The Hollywood Reporter's coverage, LeBeouf spent his time on Even Stevens "ping-ponging between the set and 12-step programs with his father, a former clown performer and recovering heroin addict."

Are you hyped for Honey Boy? Let us know in the comments. As LeBeouf would say himself, JUST DO IT.

Next, Tom Cruise has confirmed that ‘Top Gun 2’ has started filming.
