Double Tap to Zoom

Independent developer Sean Noonan just dropped a first-person shooter version of Super Mario Bros. to celebrate Nintendo’s MAR10 holiday (March 10/Mario).

Dubbed The Super 1-1 Challenge, the microgame lets players perform long-jumps, break blocks, and shoot plungers at Goombas in a quest to collect golden coins and all hidden red coins in the quickest time possible.

Using Unreal Engine 4, the game is Noonan's answer to the Mapcore challenge, a Discord campaign that calls for developers to reimagine classic video game levels.
