Nintendo is having themselves an incredible fourth quarter. After announcing that the Nintendo Switch is the fastest selling video game system of the generation, the gaming company revealed that the recently released Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the fastest selling game for the console.

"The game has sold over 3 million copies in 11 days, based on Nintendo’s own numbers," the company addressed in a statement. These numbers makes Smash Bros. Ultimate not only the fastest selling game of all time for the Switch, but also the fastest selling game in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Doug Bowser stated “We are thrilled to see such a strong reaction from consumers in the second holiday season for Nintendo Switch.
