Italian label Superga has produced footwear for over 100-years. Despite multiple iconic silhouettes, the Superga Sport Panatta is the richest in history, and forty years after its inception, the shoe makes a triumphant return.

The brand unveiled the born-again Sport Panatta at Pitti Uomo 90. The shoe returns in eight colors and maintains all its original features: cotton upper, custom flap with Panatta's name, vulcanized natural rubber sole, and, of course, the unmistakable leather swallow tail logo.

Adriano Panatta famously wore the shoe in 1976 when he triumphed at Roland Garros. Having been the first person to beat Björn Borg at the French Open, he solidified his legacy the same year by winning the Italian Open and helping Italy capture its first, and only, Davis Cup.

Superga's factory started out producing shoes with vulcanized rubber soles in 1911; the Classic 2750 silhouette was born in this same location. The facility reopened following closure during the war and went on to manufacture technical sports shoes, rubber rain boots, and many other styles.

The Panatta Sport is available now from stores worldwide. More info via the link below.
