Returning to your regularly scheduled programming after Memorial Day weekend is always a struggle, but Taylor Bennett is looking out for us all. Today, the Chicago-bred rapper shares his new project, The American Reject. The project is stacked with eight tracks and features Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla $ign, Supa Bwe, Mr. Hudson, Bianca Shaw, Femdot, Serayah, Zxxk, The Forever Band, and more. In a statement emailed to Highsnobiety, Taylor explained how the EP showcases his views on systematic segregation through his personal lens as an openly bisexual African-American from Chicago.

"Something I’ve learned is to be observant of genres, ethnicity, age and gender," he said. "My music has always been created for all listeners never directed/marketed to a particular mass. Over the years I have connected widely with listeners who could be considered oppositions. I believe in Our Great Country America, I also believe one of our best rights is freedom of speech. I’m sure everyone in this country at one point has felt unwanted, unwelcome or REJECTED. 'The American Reject' is here to show us once again how great we can ALL be when you 'BE YOUR SELF.'"

The American Reject follows 2018's Be Yourself and Restoration Of An American Idol EPs. The project ultimately serves as another way for Taylor to bring different people together. Scroll down to listen the full project on the streaming service of your choice.
