SEGA Announces 'Team Sonic Racing' With Reveal Trailer

SEGA has released a new teaser trailer today, revealing an upcoming racing game with Team Sonic Racing, from developer Sumo Digital.

Team Sonic Racing will boast 15 playable characters from the Sonic universe, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, and Shadow, along with specific power-ups like power, technique, and speed. Additionally, users will be able to customize with various options, allowing players to adjust the performance and look of their vehicle.

A variety of modes for single-player and multiplayer will be offered as well, including Grand Prix, Exhibition, Time-Trial, and Team Adventure. Players can race as a team and work together utilizing unique moves and special items to aid their teammates or defeat opponents.

Team Sonic Racing is slated to debut in physical and digital form this winter for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, while a digital-only release will be available for PC. Stay tuned for its official release date.

Previously, the tech company linked up with PUMA for special RS-0 “Sonic” and “Dr. Eggman” sneakers.
