adidas has designed a new sneaker-sandal called, well, the Sneaker-Sandal.

The brand is calling it like it is.

And it is a true sneaker-sandal, possessing the qualities of both a classic dad sneaker and summer sandal. Honestly, there may have been some trail sneakers on the mood board, too, considering this model is extremely outdoorsy. It even shares some of the same likeness as Crocs Trailbreak 2 sneakers.

The adidas Sneaker-Sandal features quicklaces and nice outsole tread, plus a general techy edge, seen with traditional trail models. It also comes with a back strap and well-ventilated upper, which speaks to the sandal side of things.

But take away the outdoor summer gear, and you've got a classic chunky dad shoe above all. It resembles one of the brand's beefy Adistar sneakers, if it spent its summers in the great outdoors.

adidas has done its fair share of sandals and, of course, a plethora of sneakers, with some hiker models in between. But nothing quite like the Sneaker-Sandal. It doesn't hide what it is. It's a sandal and a sneaker, mashed into this one dad-ish, outdoor model.

The brand offers its hybrid summer sandal in several colorways, including black, cream-white, grey, and black/white. Many are currently available on adidas Japan's website for around $65.
