As we are nearing the launch of Apple TV+, the streaming service shares the trailer for one of its original series, a murder mystery titled Truth Be Told. Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul star in the show, which is created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman.

Spencer portrays podcaster Poppy Parnell in Truth Be Told, as the program begins as new evidence leads her to reinvestigate the murder case that catapulted her to fame. Now, she must come face to face with Warren Cave (played by Paul), the man she may very well have wrongfully helped send to prison, all while navigating concerns about privacy, media, and race.

In addition to Spencer and Paul, Truth Be Told features Lizzy Caplan, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood, and Ron Cephas Jones. The crime drama comes to Apple TV+ December 6.
