Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that the cryptocurrency markets have all but collapsed recently. For naysayers, this is the vindication they needed, but for those who believed and still do, digital assets are only going through growing pains.

But while cryptocurrencies hold no real-world value outside of their buying power, NFTs are a different beast altogether. The visual aspect of NFTs means that whether the markets are good or bad, collecting and trading them will always be worth it.

And yes, the world has been flooded with unnecessary NFT projects over the past year, but it means that when a good one comes along, it stands out even more. Take Urban Outfitters, for example, who's partnering with Cryptoon Goonz for an exclusive drop that landed alongside a five-piece capsule collection.

Founded in November 2021 by tattoo artist Sean Morgan, Cryptoon Goonz is an NFT collective and community that puts streetwear at the heart of everything it does. The collective is known for its distinctive rubber-hose style characters which are the subject of the Urban Outfitters x Cryptoon Goonz drop.

Urban Outfitters will celebrate the launch during NFT week in New York City. The brand’s flagship store in Herald Square will be the setting for the physical collection launch with complimentary screen-printing of exclusive graphics. As well as this, attendees will be present for the live minting of the original NFT to the blockchain and a conversation with the founders of Cryptoon Goonz.
