Giddy up! Vans' yeehaw agenda continues, this time with a fuzzy slip-on of the bovine variety. Vans OTW LX Mule Style 17 sneaker is a luxed-up version of Vans' simple slip-on shoe built for the barn.

A product of Vans' luxury sub-label, OTW, this marbled mule is the perfect mix between a standard skate sneaker and a slip-on, kitted with Vans' signature waffle outsole so you know it still shreds.

Since this is an OTW rendering, the upgraded LX Mule Style 17 has glossy high walls which add some extra oomph to the categorically simple shoe.

Despite the cow-like print that coats the upper, the LX Mule is actually made with pony hair, giving the slip-on shoe a mane-like disposition. So we've got a cow-print shoe, that's technically a mule, made with pony hair. Talk about a full-farm affair.

Mane-like enhancements have become something of a go-to for Vans as the skatehouse recently gave its Lunar New Year loafer the full fur treatment.

Instead of the spotted offerings found on the LX mule, though, the "Year of The Horse" loafer looks more like a standard stallion thanks to its full brown colorway. Despite what the evidence might suggest, Vans isn't horsing around when it comes to its non-sneaker offerings.

Available on the Vans website for $130, the LX Mule Style 17 has some equally textured, but far less agriculturally inclined, brethren out there.

In fact, Vans' entire mule situation is expanding at a rapid rate. This, a necessary adaptation in the current era of hybrid shoe pandemonium. In that case, Vans' message is very clear. Don't have a cow. Just wear one.
