What We’re Saying: Vibram soles are for more than outdoor-specific footwear. Hell, the iconic tooling can even be found on sandals these days. Now, however, the durable sole unit enters a new category: skateboarding, as Vans' Vault division has just unleashed two brand classics with Vibram soles.

The collaboration between Vault by Vans and Vibram takes the heralded Sk8-Hi and Authentic and gives the staple silhouettes a grunge makeover. The studded sole completely transforms each shoe, adding considerable height to your favorite Vans models. Inspired by high-fashion statements and the urban subculture of the '90s, the Vibram-equipped Sk8-Hi and Authentic come in all-white and all-black colorways, crafted from supple leather. Per usual with these Vans sneakers, branding is minimal, as the Sk8-Hi's Sidestripe appears in a subtle, tonal look. On both pairs, Vibram's signature yellow logo is implemented on the midsole at the heel to signal the collaboration.

Also outfitted with Ultracush technology for superior cushioning and comfort, the Sk8-Hi and Authentic with Vibram soles can currently be found at select Vault by Vans dealers.
