The 2018 BET Awards aired Tuesday night. When the ceremony was prerecorded in Miami a few weeks back, word broke that Vic Mensa had performed a freestyle where he calls out XXXTentacion. The late rapper received a posthumous award for Best New Artist, accepted by his mother Cleopatra on his behalf. Mensa subsequently addressed what he said about XXXTentacion. Now, the Chicago rapper's freestyle cypher is here to finally watch.

As part of a cypher also featuring G Herbo, Taylor Bennett and Nick Grant, Mensa rapped, “only time you bear arms is in a wife beater, loser / Your favorite rapper's a domestic abuser... I don’t respect [censored] posthumously, homicide ain’t new to me, catch up with Akademiks at your eulogy.” The clip appears to have been removed from the BET Awards' official website, but Twitter user @BrodyTheBiz managed to upload the segment in question to the platform.
