What We’re Saying: Few items of clothing have been demonized in the same way that sandals have. However, now this hated footwear is making a well-earned comeback and Wacko Maria and Suicoke are leading the open-toed charge.

Sandals are Suicoke's forte. But this time around, the cult Japanese brand's staple gets the Wacko Maria treatment. The usually nerdy shoe gets some attitude with their signature python print on the straps in two colorways. One opts for a vibrant orange and black, the other a stark white and black.

Meanwhile, Wacko Maria’s “Guilty Parties” motif and a Suicoke text logo appear on the lateral side’s fabric badge, and the fit can be customized via a trio of velcro straps on the forefoot, ankle, and heel. Each pair boasts a soft EVA foam footbed with extra cushioning under the heel and toes and is completed by a herringbone outsole.

If you want to slither into summer with some extra spice – while getting your toes some well-deserved vitamin D – these sandals are for you. But if you're a bit shy about whipping out those toes after so long inside, check out or socks and sandals style guide.
