Two labels that know a thing or two about creating highly practical outdoor wear, and wander and adidas TERREX have once again pooled together their collective expertise in hiking gear for a collaborative capsule collection.

Covering everything from water-tight outerwear all the way down to cushioned merino wool-blend socks designed to prevent blisters on long mountain trails, it sees the two release a tech-packed wardrobe full of functional wares.

"With our latest collection with adidas TERREX, we were inspired to work together to create products that enable hikers to explore the very thing that inspired it: the great outdoors," says the designers at and wander.

As I learned from our recent interview with the founders, the Japanese brand has always been laser-focused on creating clothing that's as functional as it can be — constantly testing its pieces in the field to refine its designs. But that's only half of the story, and one big reason why it's built up such a following in the gorpcore scene is thanks to its design prowess.

Including low-key logo hits, reflective details, and subtle graphic prints, this drop once again shows just how good the brand can make outdoor gear look.

Building on its first collection, this time around the pieces comes in natural hues of sandy brown and olive green to mirror the natural palette of the earth. Plus, as is typical with any and wander collection, its lookbook is shot against a jaw-dropping outdoor backdrop.

"With this collection, we were driven to design a collection that was inspired by the distinct colors of the outside world, and the feeling that connecting with nature gives us. There’s nothing quite like being outdoors, and we hope this collection encourages more people to enjoy nature’s innate benefits," says Birgit Freundorfer, Senior Design Director, adidas TERREX.

The lightweight hiking sneaker which was featured in their last collection is back in new colorways with a message about focusing on nature printed on the heel of the midsole.

Crafted with a Continental ™ outsole, adidas’ signature BOOST technology, an EVA stabilization frame, and many other pieces of tech, it's a highly-engineered piece of footwear made specifically for the trails.
