WHO IS LIAM HODGES?

Liam Hodges is a luxury streetwear clothing brand founded by fashion designer Liam Hodges in 2013 in London, UK. He combines influences from subcultures with contemporary streetwear designs with sustainability in mind.

Hodges aims to use upcycled materials and continuously works towards creating less waste in his designs. The contemporary design icon has previously teamed up with well-known brands, including notable sportswear labels Fila and Ellesse, workwear-inspired apparel Carhartt, and champagne retailer Veuve Clicquot.

Dressing A-listers such as P.Diddy, FKA Twigs, DrakeDanny Brown, and Big Sean, to name just a few, London-based streetwear designer Liam Hodges’ clothing brand has been labeled as a “luxury brand for the mad and bad ones.”

WHAT INSPIRES LIAM HODGES' CLOTHING?

Liam Hodges’ clothing taps into postmodernism and male subcultures – specifically drawing inspiration from lads all-sorts across the UK – bringing together streetwear, workwear, and tailoring with oversized fits – with a strong graphic language and signature patchwork.

He aims to serve the always-online digital generation empowered by knowledge and information, designing clothes “his mates would wear” from his studio space in Newham, East London.

WHERE DID LIAM HODGES STUDY?

Hodges studied menswear in London’s Royal College of Arts and graduated in 2013. He debuted his first fashion collection for Fashion East in 2014, which was immediately well-received, gaining recognition for his raw, playful take on sportswear and workwear. The collection was quickly snapped up by Tokyo retailer Gr8 among other global retailers.

2007 - 2011

Liam Hodges graduated BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from the University of Westminster.

2012

For over three years, between 2008 – 2012, Hodges worked as a Studio and Design Assistant at the fashion label CassettePlaya in London.

2013

Liam Hodges continues his studies in London’s Royal College of Arts, specializing in Fashion Menswear and graduating with a Master’s degree.

After which, Liam officially launched his namesake brand based in East London, UK.

2014

Liam quickly wins support from a number of notable fashion magazines after debuting his SS14 collection at the Fashion East program – an incubator showcasing talented emerging designers – consequently catching the attention of several high-profile retailers worldwide. The same year, Hodge’s debut collection was stocked by Tokyo retailer Gr8.

2015

Liam Hodges received sponsorship for three consecutive seasons by the Topman-backed show MAN, and by spring 2015, his label had landed in London’s coveted Dover Street Market – one of ten prominent global stores to pick up the label.

2016 - 2018

Liam continues to receive support from the British Fashion Council (BFC) via its NEWGEN (New Generation) scheme – a program that supports young designers with funding and mentoring.

In 2017, as part of his London Fashion Week show NewGen initiative, Hodges debuted his SS18 collection. He teamed up for the first time with a well-known sportswear label featuring FILA Liam Hodges sneakers, apparel, and athleisure looks in pastel colors.

2019

Hodges expands his collabs, partnering with several other notable brands.

For the AW19 collection, he joined forces with the Italian sportswear brand Ellesse. The result was Ellesse x Liam Hodges collab on ski wear designs, diving into the heritage-inspired archives of Ellesse, combined with Liam’s instantaneously recognizable futuristic styles.

The same year, FILA x Liam Hodges teamed up again for a new take on FILA’s classic Mindblower featuring three heritage-inspired sneaker pairs. Incorporating the sportswear brand’s signature retro vibes, 90’s elements, and bold logos with Hodges’ playful approach.

In 2019, Hodges opened his first physical retail space, a pop-up store in Soho, London.

2020

For his SS20 collection, Liam collaborated with lifestyle clothing brand Boardies to launch a collection consisting of swimwear shorts made of recycled water bottles.
