Vans Syndicate releases two new mid-cut Mountain Editions for Holiday 2009. Constructed of ballistic nylon mesh and Wolverine leather, this latest style is designed to be waterproof, breathable and easy to clean with its built in scotchguard protective layer. Also features an embossed leather PU insole, and Outlast sockliner to keep your feet temperature balanced. Available now in khaki and black at select retailers including Silo.

As part of the Vans Syndicate Holiday 2009 offering we can present you in more detail today the Chukka Low from the French Military Pack. The pack consists of two Chukka Low’s – the A La Vie Land and the A La Vie Sea. The Sea version comes with a washed out blue upper and the Land version comes in a washed out camouflage pattern. Once again two very solid releases from the Syndicate crew over at Vans. The sneakers are now available from Flatspot.

Following a nice selection of co-branded caps earlier this season, Vans drops a simple Starter cap bearing the namesake of it’s limited core-skate Syndicate line. OG snapback, white on black, 100% cotton. Silo has them for $28 USD.

The Vans Chukka Low makes it’s Syndicate debut with this A LA VIE/LAND model. The shoes are done in two washed out canvas colors, each with matching leather piping and black waxed laces. The outside of sneaker is marked with what appears to be hand-written French phrases along the inner wall. Not much information is available at this time on the significance of that script, but the shoes have already arrived at select Syndicate accounts including FTC Japan.

For Summer 2009 the three silhouettes that WTAPS already created with Vans Syndicate last season are coming back with slight updates. They present the Rudeez S in royal blue, the Bash S in brown tones and the Greaserz S in a light beige suede, once again all three looking really good. The Glade has them in stock right now.

After recently showing you first images of this exciting get together of Vans Syndicate and Shawn Stussy’s S/Double footwear brand, we can give you another look today. Choosing to upgrade and rework our popular AV Sk8-Low, the timelessly cool low-top features ultra premium leather and ballistic nylon on an incredibly lightweight and flexible slim silhouette and comes complete with S/Double branding. Created in the same spirit as Syndicate – to design, progress and evolve an original authentic concept, this project executes the vision and classic taste that S/Double and Syndicate stand for.

Regarded as one of the legends of modern skateboarding, Jason Jessee is gifted with the rare combination of natural talent and a memorable, unique style. While his impact on California subculture extends beyond skating into the world of custom-built choppers, Jason has kept a constant connection to his first love through his skateboard company Driven.

This project showcases Jason’s creative talent and rich history as a skateboarder while also serving to update his first Syndicate project. Constructed from softer, pliable, oiled full grain leather that yields a perfect balance between durability and comfort, the shoes define versatility, bridging the gap between skate functionality and the rugged demands of riding motorcycles. Taking the original Sk8-Hi, the classic hi-top model was enhanced with an aggressive heel notch designed to provide more comfort and ankle mobility when riding choppers. Other key features include the internal linings of the shoes which have been upgraded to use OutLast, a technical temperature regulating material that cools your foot when it’s hot and warms your foot when it’s cold. Vans Syndicate is the first to introduce this thermo-adaptive utility material into the skate market. Impeccable detailing including heavy gauge stitching, workboot hardware and customized labels and embossing that were designed with Jason, personalize the product and provide maximum functional benefits.

A very solid collaborative project, just like we are used to see from Vans Syndicate. Look out for these to hit stores soon! These might also go well with the recent Neighborhood x Jason Jessee Collection that we reported about.

Here comes an interesting collaboration from Vans Syndicate and S/Double, the new shoe brand by none other than Shawn Stussy. Together they worked on the Sk8 Lo in two colorways. Both versions come in dark blue, featuring a mix of canvas and leather on the upper. S/Double logo details come in an accented red, matching the red lining, which features further details. We like the shoes a lot, but have to admit that we are not sure why the not yet launched S/Double shoe brand would collaborate with another shoe brand.

Eric Dressen expresses himself through his skateboard loudly and fast, but always in control. When not skating, he’s quiet and would rather not be at the center of attention. Since the late 70’s, Eric has been rolling on his board all the while following the code of conduct set by fellow skaters from Santa Monica and Venice. A kid when the Z-Boys were in their prime, their antics truly inspired and shaped his explosive skating talent. Eric was featured in Skateboarder magazine at age ten, turned pro at the age of twelve and years later became the back-to-back World Street Champion in 1987 and 1988. He can skate any type of terrain with confidence; pools, pipes, streets, ditches, parks, ramps.

For Spring 2009 Vans Syndicate worked with Eric Dressen on a pack. It pulls a direct influence from the classic fedora – a symbol of pride and honor – in a way that was not too obvious. The rich felt overlays, ribbon quarter panel, gold leaf custom lettering, and gold satin linings makes the subtle statement in perfect detail.

The Eric Dressen Half Cab “S” is available in black, brown and gray and will be released at premium retailers beginning of March.

After the Suicidal Tendencies collaboration that we presented to you the other day, here comes now the Eric Dressen Half Cab.

“Mixing textures, from suede to a woolier feel to a coarser canvas, the side panel replacement for the usual ‘Half Cab’ patch promotes Mister Cartoon’s Syndicate ‘S’ while the gold eyelet, signature script on the inner collar and his quintessentially West Coast skull and 13 (we don’t profess to be tattoo historians, but we think it reps the 13th letter in the alphabet – M, in tribute Dressen’s Mexican descent) image on the footbed demonstrating more startling attention-to-detail from our favourite ranges on the shelves today.” Via Crooked Tongues.
