What We’re Saying: 1017 ALYX 9SM's outlandish shoes with a removable sole have finally arrived. Led by a new-age Derby, the standout design incorporates a custom-developed Vibram sole that you can conveniently step in and out of.

The dress shoe is available in refined black leather, with a rounded square toe. Below, attention is drawn to a stack leather sole, and even more so, a larger Vibram rubber sole that is completely removable.

We happen to know firsthand that the Vibram sole adds considerable weight to the silhouette, but that should come as little surprise considering the shoe has not one but two sole units. In addition to the derby, the Vibram sole is featured on other ALYX footwear, including a mid-top boot and a sandal.
