To make its already-great Handball Spezial better, adidas added hair.

Specifically, the newest Handball Spezial sneakers appear with hairy suede details across the upper, complemented by smoother touches for an overall nice textural vibe.

Even its foldover tongue gets the hairy suede treatment.

That's right. As if a fuzzed-up Handball Spezial wasn't a treat in itself, adidas adds a removable long-tongue for a classic sporty vibe, similar to the look of earlier Sambas and even the coveted Wales Bonner collaboration.

adidas has also dropped other nice-looking long-tongue Spezials in the past, including preppy-style pairs and even an ultra-stylish size? collaboration.

This one is just the hairiest thus far, and that's a compliment, by the way.

adidas' latest Handball Spezial LT sneaker arrives in two pleasing colorways, "Shadow Red" and "Dark Blue." Both are anticipated to drop on January 16 on the brand's website.

And good news for fans of tongue-out adidas sneakers: this particular pair comes with more than one flappy tongue, allowing for mixing and matching to your heart's content.

I say, the more tongues, the merrier. Or perhaps in this case, the hairier.
