adidas made the latest ripple-soled Superstars all by itself. And honestly, they're pretty clean (and sharp).

The sneakers, aptly dubbed the Superstar II Ripple, feature creamy leather inside and out plus the usual Superstar fixings. They also come with shark-teeth-style soles, which bring a dressy edge to the casual sneaker.

It also brings back memories of CLOT's adidas Superstar, which also featured chunky sawtooth soles and other formal-coded updates (there's a mule version, too). The Superstar II Ripple is a little less exaggerated than CLOT's effort, but they're still pretty luxe.

The rippled Superstar also carries similar energy to the Freizeit models, essentially adidas classics gone rugged with hardy lug soles. It's just more ways to keep the Three-Stripes icons fresh.

The Superstar II Ripple sneakers come in nice cream-white and black colorways, both of which are now available on adidas' website for $120.
