Even at Its Lowest, adidas’ Superstar Is Absurdly Luxurious
There's only one way to describe this new adidas Superstar Lo Pro sneaker. It's flat-out luxurious.
The low-soled Superstar sneaker returns with its most elegant look yet. adidas has stitched up the uppers with the finest brown leather. The iconic shell toe, tongue, and interiors have also gone buttery.
To make matters even dressier, the brand has thrown in some tassel shoelaces. CLOT's Superstar collaboration also featured similar shoelaces and a lot more sole.
The Superstar joined the Lo Pro family earlier this year, alongside downsized versions of the Stan Smith and Gazelle. It may have flatter soles, but it still has plenty of Superstar soul, keeping most of the other classic details.
For the most part, the Superstar Lo Pro has worn classic leather looks, including the signature black-and-white colorways. However, the latest is not only a pleasant surprise but an elegant treat.
The dress-shoe craze still has the sneaker game in a chokehold, I see. And the Superstar continues to be the one of the key models of the trend, having been turned into full-blown formal shoes and enjoyed several other dressy spins.
