Editor’s Notes: After several teasers and leaks, Nike has officially announced its “Obsidian” Nike Air Jordan 1 will be released globally today, August 31. This pair, which harkens back to Michael Jordan’s days at the University of North Carolina with its University Blue/Obsidian color-blocking, follows the release of the women's patent leather UNC 1s from earlier this year, as well as the AJ1 Low designed by Eric Koston.
