With 2020 gladly done, it's time to welcome the first Air Jordan 1 release of the year. While part of the Jordan Brand Spring 2021 line-up, we were treated to the Nike Air Jordan 1 "Volt Gold" a little early. It dropped on January 9, to be exact, and you can still secure the eye-catching sneaker at StockX.

The bold volt shade that dresses the Air Jordan 1 "Volt Gold" has been used by Nike on several of its sneakers in the past, with the most notable uses arriving on Jordan 4, Air Max 1, and Air Max 95 silhouettes from the Swoosh archive. However, this release marks the first time the neon hue has met an Air Jordan 1, with the volt coloring making its way to the icon's ankle collar. It's paired-up with a sunshine-like gold ankle tab.

Elsewhere, interesting design details come in the form of an exposed foam tongue to which a transparent, reversed tag is attached. While these features give the shoe a slightly deconstructed vibe, the smooth black and white of the upper and Swoosh stay true to the silhouette's classic credentials.

Jordan Brand's most popular silhouette has had a seriously strong past few years, with collabs from the likes of Dior and Travis Scott taking the Air Jordan 1 to astronomical levels of attention. With the Houston artist rumored to be releasing another one soon, the sneaker shows absolutely no signs of slowing.

StockX market data shows that the Air Jordan 1 "Volt Gold" is currently selling for an average of $194. However, its 52-week high price reached $435.
