Everyone's favorite animated sponge has got the nod from Nike, with an official capsule collection of sneakers releasing today, August 10. Joining forces with Kyrie Irving, the five SpongeBob Squarepants x Nike Kyrie sneakers each represent a key character from the seabed-based show, using the Kyrie Low 2 and Kyrie 5 silhouettes. Fans can still secure their pair at marketplace of things StockX — or pairs if you're a Bikini Bottom fanatic.

Just like the main man, the SpongeBob Kyrie 5 features a yellow porous upper, with a brown sole mirroring his signature 'fit. While you might not want to explore the depths of the sea with this sneaker, its cushioning technology and breathability will have you all set for terra firma.

As well as SpongeBob himself, other characters to get their own kicks include Mr Krabs and Sandy Cheeks, both of which arrive in the Kyrie Flytrap 2 silhouette. The Squidward edition comes in a colorway that is unmistakably his. But unlike the bad-tempered squid, this pair of kicks don't need to be told to lighten up, with an eye-catching blue Swoosh and mint green upper.
