Alfa Romeo is making a splash with four special-edition cars designed in partnership with the Luna Rossa sailing team. The lineup, appropriately dubbed “Edizione Luna Rossa,” includes souped-up, sailing-inspired takes on signature automotiv emodels like the Junior, Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio.

Alfa Romeo’s partnership with Luna Rossa started in 2025. Their collaboration could have been as simple as slapping a logo on the team’s monochrome uniforms and calling it a day. Instead, the Italian auto manufacturer went the extra mile, cooking up cars brimming with tasteful nods to the famously stylish sailing team.

And, rather than go concept, Alfa Romeo opted to remix four more widely available cars as a testament to the partnership’s far-reaching intent. And its timing is perfect, because the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup kicked off on September 24.

Each vehicle features Luna Rossa’s white, black, gray and red color palette and a designated all-red Alfa Romeo logo, and several take the sailing inspiration quite literally. The Junior and Tonale Edizione Luna Rossa sport gray exteriors inspired by the team’s flotation devices, while the Giulia and Stelvio are upholstered with ECONYL material that partially repurposes nylon from recovered fishing nets.

Inside, Luna Rossa branding is abundant and homages to nautical necessity appear by way of sail graphics that adorn the Junior’s central tunnel and dashboard.

Alfa Romeo sponsors Luna Rossa alongside other brands that straddle sport and style, including Oakley, Pirelli and, of course, the team’s main sponsor, Prada. The fashion label created the America’s Cup shoe as a performance model for the Luna Rossa team in 1997, subtly etching the yacht-racing team into sneaker and fashion history.

The carmaker is one of the team’s newer partners, though, and the Edizione Luna Rossa collection marks only the second installment of the Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa collaboration. The first was the ultra-limited Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, a one-off car limited to just ten units. The new series, however, will set sail in all European markets as the most shipshape iteration of each model.
