Double Tap to Zoom

Almost two years after releasing OnePointFive, Aminé is back with a new track titled "Shimmy" and accompanying video.

Produced by Boi-1da, Vinylz, and Maneesh, "Shimmy" samples vocals from Ol' Dirty Bastard's 1995 track, "Shimmy Shimmy Ya." Aminé can be heard paying homage to the late rapper with lyrics like, "Shimmy shimmy ya, y'all niggas get no applause / I'm lookin' like wealth, so mami wanna ménage."

Aminé is also here to remind us that he's back like he's never left. "It's been a whole year, my nigga / Let's not front, it's my year, my nigga / I'm here to fuck up your whole career, my nigga."

The video, co-directed by Aminé himself and Jack Begert, sees the Ethiopian-American rapper biking around Portland, rapping inside of an empty Providence Park, and even climbing a mountain. Watch Aminé's comeback video below.
