We all know adidas has a sweet tooth, evidenced by all of the tasty treats the Three Stripes has put out as of late. Now, with the help of Staten Island-born streetwear brand Asphalt, adidas is putting its pastry passions where its flipped-out tongue is.

When it comes to decadent desserts, adidas stands on big baked business.

While previous sweet tooth-savvy Samba sneakers were more referential in their pastry pursuits, Asphalt's take on the tasty trend hits it right on the head.

The limited-edition collaboration is a celebration of the sweeter side of New York: its vast pastry culture, specifically the little Italian bakeries that have become fixtures of New York's pasticcerias.

"The neighborhood bakery, grabbing a box of pastries for family, knowing exactly which spot has your favorite cannoli or rainbow cookie. We wanted to take something that feels familiar to so many New Yorkers and translate it through an Asphalt lens," says Asphalt's operations manager, Jadah Orilus.

Asphalt's Samba embodies the creamy, fried decadence of a classic Italian cannoli shell with a warm, wheat-toned golden outsole. A matching heel and T-toe overlay round out the crispy crust of the sneaker, while the soft cream laces and milky sockliner represent the whipped ricotta cheese filling found at the center of the sneaker's tasty muse. Deep cocoa brown leather at the upper represents the chocolate drizzle that frequents these Sicilian treats.

In addition to all of this tasty stylistic enrichment, the Cannoli-coded Samba also features three interchangeable Velcro tongue options, which means on just about every level, this Samba has flavors.

And that's not all. For those who are still heavy in their ornamental charm era, Asphalt's oven-fresh Samba comes with a tiny little Cannoli charm.
