For Awake NY's next Jordan collaboration, the brand transforms the iconic Air Jordan 6 into candy-sweet steppers.
Specifically, the Awake NY pairs come in "Blueberry" and "Bubblegum" flavors, alongside luxe leather and suede constructions, crisp contrast stitching, and Infrared-style Air soles. Oh, and they're stamped with the brand's signature "A," which has appeared on its previous Jordan collabs.
Awake NY's Jordan 6 honestly looks unreal. And that's the point. The collaborative sneaker draws inspiration from bootleg culture, which started in the streets and was later adopted by big luxury brands.
Nike's Jordan 6 pretty much tells the same story but in a different format. It's a street-ready sneaker that looks unofficial (but it is), wrapped in top-notch materials and solid colorways.
And the Awake NY x Jordan 6 collab will finally drop on August 24 on the brand's website, alongside collaborative tracksuits, polos, and graphics tees.
It's worth pointing out that the signature Jordan model turns 35 this year. So far, for AJ6's birthday, Nike has given it a luxe leather "BIn 23" makeover and revived some classics like the "Oreo" 6s. Now, it's getting two delicious spins from the Rihanna-approved streetwear brand.
