For Balenciaga's SS18 collection, Demna Gvasalia pulled inspiration from the carefree style of European dads who take their kids to play in the park on Sunday mornings and made it stylish AF, as he's known to do. Having announced the merge of the brand's menswear and womenswear, Balenciaga's FW18 line is inspired by the snowboarders of the early ’90s, with different garments and fabrics sewn together to create a single piece of clothing.

Of course, the internet had plenty of hilarious reactions following the collection's debut back in March, from the “this will haunt me till the day I die”s to the simpler but no less cutting "Why?" But with Fall/Winter pieces now front of mind, we've selected our favorite outlandish items from the latest Balenciaga collection, which toe the fine line between bad taste and high fashion. In other words, peak Balenciaga.

Love them or hate them, below you'll find the likes of a fuchsia turtleneck top with gloves to match, the iconic $8,000 layered oversized parka, and even a 3D-structured tweed coat — which takes small waist goals to the next level. Needless to say, if you take a liking to Balenciaga's wacky styles, be ready to part with a few hundred bucks at the very minimum.

Whether you're planning to cop, or are just looking for a laugh at fashion's expense, peep our picks below.
